Picturescape – Children’s Book Review

Picturescape by Elisa Gutierrez

Another trip to the museum for school children, Canadian Art Museum.  A picture book about historical Canadian artists from coast to coast, see if you can remember which artist did the paintings that Gutierrez illustrated or guess which province the painting represents.

http://www.picturescape.ca is a wonderful resource for this book, all the answers to the paintings and more. If you have any questions about any of the art or artists Gutierrez tells all, there are even museum tour ideas.

About artist and illustrator

I'm a textile artist, resourceful and excited about making things. Dog walks with my pooch "Charlie" is inspiring and an opportunity to develop ideas from nature and people whom we meet on our strolls. There is a story behind my art making, it's in the series, I don't make just one but many from the same idea, but! not one will look like the other, each piece of art is "one-of-a-kind".
