Reframing an old photo

A Pastime to Treasure for a Lifetime

reframe             framing for antique photos

  Before                                                       After

This wonderful photo of my neighbour’s grandmother was in a ready-made frame, (store bought with easel back).

It hung on the wall near a window. One summer the window was left open during a rain shower, and the water damaged the photo and frame.

A mat around the photo will help prevent any moisture damage to the photo. The dust cover on the back of the frame will also protect the image from dust and insects. Having the proper hanging system will allow the image to be displayed even.

About artist and illustrator

I'm a textile artist, resourceful and excited about making things. Dog walks with my pooch "Charlie" is inspiring and an opportunity to develop ideas from nature and people whom we meet on our strolls. There is a story behind my art making, it's in the series, I don't make just one but many from the same idea, but! not one will look like the other, each piece of art is "one-of-a-kind".
