Breezy the Blue Bird – Textile Art form

Breezy is the second blue bird in a series of four.

Her beauty doesn’t just radiate in her colours and patterns, her shiny fork feet enhance her unique personality through her take off position. Breezy is ready for anything, she can be perched on a glass vase or display her on top of a pile of books. The tilt of her head suggests keeping one eye on the ground while one on the sky; making sure that the coast is clear.

Breezy can be viewed as a bit eclectic, having two different styles of feet, but seeing this doesn’t match the phrase she has “two left feet“. Quite the opposite, she is much more versatile in her abilities and accomplishments.

Breezy is for sale at the May 6 & 7 art sale at Mount Royal University, Faculty Ctr.

About artist and illustrator

I'm a textile artist, resourceful and excited about making things. Dog walks with my pooch "Charlie" is inspiring and an opportunity to develop ideas from nature and people whom we meet on our strolls. There is a story behind my art making, it's in the series, I don't make just one but many from the same idea, but! not one will look like the other, each piece of art is "one-of-a-kind".
