YYC Airport Therapy Dogs

Look at what we discovered today at the airport, we humans were impressed. The dogs didn’t agree with our enthusiasm, there was no way we were going to get a group shot. If you are traveling through Calgary International airport with your pet, and he or she needs a break, stop by the Pet Relief facility, it’s new.

Pre-boarding PALS is a great program and we volunteers love to share our pride & joy (our dogs) “pets helping people”.

The staff at YYC Airport are always generous with affectionate dog massages and loving attention to the PALS Pre-boarding program.

Then we have Lina, who has done so much for Pre-board PALS at YYC airport. Our Friday morning shift wont be the same with out her, she has created a wonderful office for the PALS dogs, and organized the trading cards and dog vests, even the human vests. Lina will be returning to school after her one year practicum at YYC.

Thank you Lina.

About artist and illustrator

I'm a textile artist, resourceful and excited about making things. Dog walks with my pooch "Charlie" is inspiring and an opportunity to develop ideas from nature and people whom we meet on our strolls. There is a story behind my art making, it's in the series, I don't make just one but many from the same idea, but! not one will look like the other, each piece of art is "one-of-a-kind".

  1. That’s a really great idea. But, did the dogs use it? Not sure mine would.

The dogs did not use it, it may have felt odd on the paws, they couldn’t wait to get off of it. But for those jet setter dogs(pets)that are familiar with the comforts or discomforts of flying will appreciate it more. I think???
